# Welcome to Synrgetic

Synrgetic is an all-in-one fitness and coaching app. It works two ways:

* **For everyone** — a free fitness tracker with no ads: log workouts, track food with barcode scanning, save progress photos and measurements, and watch your progress on charts.
* **For coaches and gyms** — switch on **Coach mode** to manage clients, build workout plans and programs, create reusable exercise guides, run online coaching with check-ins, take bookings, sell packages, and analyse your business.

Synrgetic is available for iPhone, iPad and Android phones and tablets, with a web version for coaches and clients.

## Where to start

* New to the app? Start with [Creating your account](/getting-started/creating-your-account).
* Here to train yourself? Jump to [Workouts](/workouts-and-training/workouts) and [Food tracking](/nutrition/food-tracking).
* A personal trainer or online coach? Head to [Coach mode](/coach-mode/getting-started-as-a-coach).
* Training with a coach who uses Synrgetic? See [Training with a coach](/training-with-a-coach/connecting-to-your-coach).
* Own a gym? See [Gym management](/gyms/gym-management).

## Pricing at a glance

Everything in the app is free for personal use. Coaching features are free for your first client, forever. Paid coach plans (from $8.99/month for 5 clients to $39.99/month for 50) unlock more client slots — every plan includes every feature, and all paid plans start with a one-month free trial. See [Subscriptions & billing](/account-and-settings/subscriptions-and-billing).

# Creating your account

## Download the app

Synrgetic is available on the [App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/synrgetic-fitness-coaching/id6445988958) for iPhone and iPad, and on [Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.synrgetic) for Android phones and tablets.

1. Open the app and choose **Sign up**.
2. Enter your name, email address and a password.
3. Verify your email address using the link we send you — this keeps your account secure and lets you reset your password later.

Everything on the personal side of the app is free with no ads, so you can start logging workouts and food straight away.

## Joining from a coach's invite link

If your coach sent you an invite link, tap it after installing the app (or before — the link will take you to the right store). Registering through an invite link automatically connects your new account to your coach, so their plans and check-ins appear without any extra setup. See [Connecting to your coach](/training-with-a-coach/connecting-to-your-coach).

## Forgot your password?

Use **Forgot password** on the login screen and we'll email you a reset link.

# Finding your way around

## The main menu

Synrgetic's navigation adapts to your device — a bottom bar with a **Menu** on phones, and an expanded layout on tablets and the web. The main sections for everyone:

* **Dashboard** — your overview: recent activity, statistics and calendar.
* **Workouts** — create and log workouts.
* **Tracking** — food diary, body measurements, progress photos and activity.
* **Meal plans** — build or generate meal plans.
* **Nutrition targets** — your calorie and macro goals.
* **Exercise progress** — charts of your lifts over time.
* **Form analyzer** — record a lift and get automatic form feedback.
* **Achievements** — milestones you've unlocked.
* **Contacts** and **Messages** — friends and chat.
* **Profile**, **Purchases**, **Notifications** and **Settings**.

## Coach mode

If you're a trainer, **Coach mode** in the menu switches the app into its coaching layout, adding **Clients**, **Exercise guides**, **Programs**, **Packages**, **Calendar**, **Analytics** and more. **Exit coach mode** switches back to your personal training view — your own workouts and nutrition stay completely separate from your coaching business. See [Getting started as a coach](/coach-mode/getting-started-as-a-coach).

## Dashboard tabs

The Dashboard has two tabs: **Statistics** (your numbers at a glance) and **Calendar** (your scheduled workouts and bookings in one view).

# Using Synrgetic on the web

Synrgetic also runs in your browser — handy for coaches doing admin on a laptop, and for anyone who prefers a bigger screen for building plans or reviewing progress.

## Logging in

Go to the web app and log in with the same email and password as the mobile app. Your data is the same everywhere — workouts logged on your phone appear on the web instantly, and vice versa.

You can also log in by scanning a QR code with the mobile app, so you don't need to type your password on shared or public computers.

## What's better on the web

* **Building programs and meal plans** — more room for multi-week planning.
* **Analytics** — larger charts and easier data export.

# Workouts

The **Workouts** section is where you create, plan and log your training.

## Creating a workout

1. Open **Workouts** and tap the add button.
2. Name your workout and pick a date — plan ahead or log as you train.
3. Add exercises by searching Synrgetic's exercise database. Mark exercises you use often as **favourites** to find them faster; your **frequent** exercises surface automatically.
4. For each exercise, add your planned sets with target reps and weight.

## While you train

* Log each set as you complete it — weight, reps and RPE.
* **Previous lifts** show what you did last time for the same exercise, right where you need them; keep scrolling to load your older sessions.
* Attach a **video** to a set to review your form later (or to share with your coach).
* Rest, adjust, repeat.

## Save time on planning

* **Clone a workout** to repeat a previous session.
* **Copy exercises** from one workout into another.
* **Copy exercise notes** across workouts so instructions travel with the movement.
* **Change an exercise** mid-plan without losing your set scheme.

## Drop sets and advanced logging

Synrgetic supports **drop sets** — log the weight reductions within a single exercise entry rather than faking extra sets. Custom exercise fields (like tempo, band colour, or anything your coach defines) can appear alongside standard sets — see [Client workouts](/coach-mode/client-workouts) for how coaches set these up.

## Workouts from your coach

If a coach assigns your training, coached workouts appear in the same place with their instructions and exercise guides attached — see [Your workouts from your coach](/training-with-a-coach/coached-workouts).

# Logging sets, reps and RPE

## The basics

Each exercise in a workout holds a list of sets. For every set you can record:

* **Weight** — in kg or lb (choose your unit in Settings).
* **Reps** — how many you completed.
* **RPE** (Rating of Perceived Exertion) — how hard the set felt, from 1 to 10. RPE helps you (or your coach) judge whether the weight was right, independent of the number on the bar.

## Tips for accurate tracking

* Log sets as you finish them rather than reconstructing the session afterwards — your rest timer doubles as logging time.
* Use the **previous lifts** panel to decide today's weights: it shows your last performances of the same exercise, and scrolling loads older history.
* Be honest with RPE. A set of 5 at RPE 9 tells a very different story from the same set at RPE 6, and your progress charts get smarter when the data is real.

## One-rep max tracking

Synrgetic estimates and tracks your **one-rep max (1RM)** per exercise from your logged sets, so you can watch strength trends without actually maxing out. See [Exercise progress & charts](/workouts-and-training/exercise-progress).

# Exercise progress & charts

The **Exercise progress** section turns your logged workouts into trends.

## What you can see

* **Progress charts per exercise** — how your weights, reps, volume and estimated 1RM have moved over time.
* **Workout history per exercise** — every session where the movement appeared.

## How to use it

1. Open **Exercise progress** from the menu.
2. Pick an exercise you've logged.
3. Switch between chart views to see the trend that matters to you — strength (1RM estimate), top set weight, or volume.

## Getting good charts

Charts are only as good as your logging. Two habits make them genuinely useful:

* Log every working set, not just your best one.
* Keep exercise selection consistent — if you log "Bench Press" one week and a duplicate custom exercise the next, your history splits across the two.

Your coach can also see your progress (with your connection active), which is how remote coaching decisions get made between check-ins.

# Form Analyzer

The **Form analyzer** uses on-device pose estimation to give you feedback on your lifting technique from a video — no wearables, no extra hardware.

## How to use it

1. Open **Form analyzer** from the menu.
2. Record a set (or pick an existing video) with your whole body visible in frame — a phone propped at hip height, a few metres away, works well.
3. The analyzer maps your body position through the movement and highlights what it sees.

## Getting the best results

* **Lighting and framing matter** — the model needs to see your joints, so avoid heavy shadows and keep your full body in frame for the whole set.
* **Film from a useful angle** — side-on for squats, deadlifts and presses generally reads best.
* Analysis runs on your device — your videos aren't uploaded anywhere for processing.

## What it's for (and not for)

The Form Analyzer is a training aid, not a medical or safety device. It's great for spotting things you can't feel — depth, bar path drift, asymmetry — but it doesn't replace a qualified coach's eye. If you train with a coach on Synrgetic, attach the video to your set and get their feedback too.

# Achievements

**Achievements** celebrate your consistency and milestones — workouts completed, streaks maintained, tracking habits built.

Open **Achievements** from the menu to see what you've unlocked and what's still ahead. Achievements are earned automatically as you use the app; there's nothing to configure.

They're a small thing — but on the days motivation dips, a visible streak you don't want to break does more than any motivational quote.

# Food tracking

Your food diary lives in **Tracking → Food**. Logging is designed to be fast enough that you'll actually keep doing it.

## Logging food

1. Open **Tracking** and go to the **Food** tab.
2. Pick the meal you're logging and add food by:
   * **Searching** the food database,
   * **Scanning a barcode** — point your camera at the packet and the food's nutrition info fills in automatically,
   * Picking from your **favourites** or **frequent** foods — your regular meals are usually two taps.
3. Adjust the portion (foods support multiple measures — grams, servings, items) and save.

## Reading your day

The Food tab shows your running totals for calories and macros against your active [nutrition target](/nutrition/nutrition-targets), so you always know where you stand before dinner, not after it.

## Tips

* **Favourite** the foods you eat weekly — the first week of logging is the slowest; after that your staples are all one tap away.
* Log as you eat rather than at bedtime. Recall is the enemy of accuracy.
* If you train with a coach, they can see your food diary and give feedback — one of the main reasons coaches ask clients to log here rather than in a separate app.

# Nutrition targets & calorie calculator

**Nutrition targets** are your daily calorie and macro goals — the line your food diary measures against.

## Using the calorie calculator

Not sure what your numbers should be?

1. Open **Nutrition targets** from the menu.
2. Use the built-in **calorie calculator**: enter your stats and select your goal (lose, maintain or gain).
3. Save the result as a target — done.

## Creating targets manually

You can create as many targets as you like with your own calories, protein, carbs and fat — useful if you or your coach already know your numbers.

## Different targets for different days

Targets can be applied to **selected days** and **scheduled** — so training days can carry more carbs than rest days, or weekends can run a different calorie level. Set it once and the right target is active on the right day automatically.

## With a coach

If your coach manages your nutrition, they can set your targets for you — you'll just see the right goal in your food diary each day.

# Meal plans

**Meal plans** turn "what should I eat?" into a plan you can follow — built by you, generated by the app, or assigned by your coach.

## Building a meal plan

1. Open **Meal plans** and create a new plan.
2. Add meals, then add foods to each meal — same search, barcode and favourites tools as the food diary.
3. The plan totals its calories and macros as you build, so you can shape it toward your target.

## Generating a meal plan

Short on time? Use **generate meal plan** and Synrgetic will draft one for you based on your requirements — then edit it to taste. Generated plans are a starting point you refine, not a prescription.

## Following a plan

Foods from your plan can be logged to your diary quickly — following the plan becomes a matter of confirming rather than re-entering everything.

## Plans from your coach

Coaches can build and share meal plans with clients (and clients can view them in the app or via a share link).

# Measurements & body tracking

The **Tracking → Body** tab records the numbers the mirror can't: weight, body measurements and how they trend over time.

## Logging measurements

1. Open **Tracking** and go to the **Body** tab.
2. Add today's entry — weight and any measurements you track (waist, hips, arms, and so on).
3. Entries build into **charts** so you can see the trend, not just today's number.

## Reading the trend

Day-to-day weight is noisy — water, salt, sleep and stress all move it. The chart view is the honest signal: look at the direction over weeks, not the wobble between days.

## Exporting your data

Your tracking data is yours — you can **export** it from the app whenever you want a copy. See [Your data & privacy](/account-and-settings/data-and-privacy).

## With a coach

If you're connected to a coach, your measurements feed their view of your progress and your check-ins — one weigh-in, no screenshots or spreadsheets needed.

# Progress photos

Progress photos catch changes the scale misses. They live in **Tracking → Photos**.

## Taking progress pics

1. Open **Tracking → Photos** and add a new photo.
2. For photos that are actually comparable, keep conditions consistent: same spot, same lighting, same time of day (first thing in the morning works best), same poses.

## Comparing over time

* Browse all your photos in one gallery.
* Use **compare** to put two photos side by side — the before/after view that makes slow progress visible.

## Sharing

You can **share** progress pics — with your coach, or export the comparison for wherever you want it. Photos are private by default; nothing is shared unless you share it.

## With a coach

Connected clients' progress photos are visible to their coach as part of progress tracking and check-ins, so your coach sees what's changing without you sending photos over chat.

# Activity & health data

The **Tracking → Activity** tab brings your daily movement into the same place as your training and nutrition.

## Syncing health data

Synrgetic can sync with your phone's health platform (Apple Health on iOS, Health Connect on Android) to pull in activity data like steps.

1. Open **Tracking → Activity**.
2. When prompted, grant the health permissions you're comfortable with — Synrgetic only reads what you approve, and you can change permissions any time in your phone's settings.

## Why sync it

Daily activity is the quiet half of energy balance. Seeing steps alongside your food diary and training explains plateaus that neither explains alone — and if you work with a coach, it gives them the full picture without another app.

# Contacts & friend requests

**Contacts** is where your training circle lives — friends, and (for clients) your coach.

## Adding friends

1. Open **Contacts** from the menu.
2. **Search** for a friend by their details.
3. Send a **friend request** — they'll get a notification and can accept from their Contacts screen.

## What friends can do

* **Message each other** — see [Messages](/friends-and-messaging/messages).
* **Share workouts** — send a workout you've built or enjoyed to a friend so they can train it themselves. See [Sharing workouts](/friends-and-messaging/sharing-workouts).

## Managing requests

Incoming friend requests appear in Contacts and as notifications. Accept or decline — declined requests aren't notified to the sender.

# Messages

**Messages** is Synrgetic's built-in chat — for friends, and between coaches and clients.

## Starting a conversation

Open **Messages** from the menu and pick a contact, or message someone directly from their profile. Conversations work like any modern chat: you'll get notifications for new messages (configurable in [Notifications](/account-and-settings/notifications)).

## Coach–client messaging

If you train with a coach on Synrgetic (or coach clients), messaging keeps the whole coaching conversation in the same app as the training itself — no more feedback scattered across WhatsApp, email and DMs. Workout feedback, check-in follow-ups and quick questions all live here.

# Sharing workouts

Built a great session? You can share workouts with friends — and coaches can share with each other.

## How to share

1. Open the workout you want to share.
2. Use the **share** option and choose who to send it to.
3. The recipient gets the workout with its exercises and set scheme, ready to train or adapt.

Workouts can also be shared via a **link** — the recipient can view the workout even before they have the app, and it opens straight into Synrgetic if they do.

## What about coaching content?

Coaches have richer sharing tools — sharing workouts and packages between coaches, and sharing clients across a team or gym. See [Managing clients](/coach-mode/managing-clients) and [Gym management](/gyms/gym-management).

# Connecting to your coach

Training with a coach who uses Synrgetic? Connecting takes a minute, and everything they plan for you appears in your app automatically.

## The easy way: an invite link

Your coach will usually send you an **invite link**:

1. Install Synrgetic ([App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/synrgetic-fitness-coaching/id6445988958) / [Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.synrgetic)).
2. Tap the invite link. If you're new, registering through the link creates your account **already connected** to your coach. If you already use Synrgetic, the link connects your existing account.

## What your coach can see

Once connected, your coach can see your training, food diary, measurements, progress photos and check-ins — that visibility is what remote coaching runs on. Your account is still yours: your data, your login, and the app stays free for you.

## What you'll get

* Workouts planned by your coach, with their instructions and exercise guides attached.
* Nutrition targets and meal plans, if your coach manages your nutrition.
* Check-ins, bookings and messaging — all in the same app.

## Disconnecting

If you stop working with a coach, the connection can be ended — you keep your account, your history and all your own data, and the app remains free to use on your own.

# Your workouts from your coach

When your coach plans your training, the workouts appear in your **Workouts** section like any other — with their coaching attached.

## Training a coached workout

1. Open the workout your coach scheduled.
2. Each exercise carries your coach's **instructions** — written cues, and often a video **exercise guide** showing exactly how they want the movement performed.
3. Log your sets as normal — weight, reps, RPE. Your coach sees what you actually did, not just what was planned.

## Feedback both ways

* **Attach a video** to a set when you want your coach's eyes on your form.
* **Add notes and video to exercises** to tell your coach how it felt — pain, ease, questions.
* Your coach can respond with text or video feedback, and adjust future sessions based on your logs.

## Real-time coaching

For in-person or live online sessions, your coach can run the workout in real time — logging and adjusting as you train together.

# Online Coaching for clients

{% hint style="info" %}
**Coming soon** — structured Online Coaching is in development and not yet generally available. This page previews what's on the way.
{% endhint %}

If your coach runs structured online coaching, the **Online Coaching** section appears in your menu — your whole coaching program in one place.

## What's inside

Your coach configures which sections you see. Depending on your program:

* **Check-in** — your daily and weekly check-ins: body weight, ratings for things like sleep, energy and adherence, and answers your coach reviews. Check-ins are organised by week across your program, so you and your coach can see the whole journey.
* **Training** — your training plan for the program.
* **Meal plan** — your nutrition plan, when your coach manages it.
* **Progress** — progress photos and measurements across the program.
* **Performance** — how your lifts and numbers are trending.
* **Calendar** — your program schedule.

## Doing your check-ins

Check-ins are the heartbeat of online coaching. Fill in your daily entries as they happen (weight in the morning, ratings at night takes under a minute) and complete the weekly check-in before your coach's review day. Honest check-ins get you better coaching — the plan adapts to what you report.

## On bigger screens

Online Coaching works especially well on tablets and the [web version](/getting-started/web-version), with your program's weeks and content side by side.

# Bookings, packages & payments

## Sessions and bookings

When your coach schedules a session with you, it appears in your calendar and you'll be notified of new, changed or cancelled bookings. Your upcoming sessions are visible on your **Dashboard → Calendar**.

## Packages

Coaches sell training in **packages** — for example, a block of 10 sessions or a monthly online coaching plan. Your package shows how many sessions remain and its booking history, so there's never a "how many do I have left?" conversation.

## Payments

How you pay depends on your coach. Many coaches take payment directly (bank transfer, card in person) and track it in Synrgetic; coaches can also send **payment requests**, and refunds are recorded so your package history always reflects reality. You'll receive email confirmation when payments and refunds are recorded.

## Purchases

Your **Purchases** section in the menu shows your history with your coach.

# Getting started as a coach

**Coach mode** turns Synrgetic into your coaching business — client management, programming, bookings, packages and analytics, alongside (and separate from) your own training.

## Switching on Coach mode

1. Open the menu and choose **Coach mode**.
2. The app switches to the coaching layout: **Clients**, **Exercise guides**, **Programs**, **Packages**, **Calendar**, **Analytics** and more.
3. **Exit coach mode** any time to return to your personal training view.

## What it costs

* Your **first client is free, forever** — no trial expiry, no card required. Run one real client end-to-end before paying anything.
* Need more clients? Subscriptions run from **$8.99/month for 5 clients** to **$39.99/month for 50**, and **every plan includes every feature** — no add-ons or feature gates. All paid plans start with a one-month free trial. Manage your plan in [Subscriptions & billing](/account-and-settings/subscriptions-and-billing).

## A sensible first hour

1. Create your first [exercise guides](/coach-mode/exercise-guides) for the movements you program most — they're reusable forever, so this is the highest-leverage setup you'll do.
2. Set up your [packages](/coach-mode/packages) to match how you sell (session blocks, monthly coaching).
3. Add your first [client](/coach-mode/managing-clients) — or send them your invite link.
4. Build their first [workout](/coach-mode/client-workouts) or assign a [program](/coach-mode/programs).

## Switching from another platform?

There's a free step-by-step switching guide — including how to export your data from TrueCoach, Trainerize and others — at [synrgetic.com/switch](https://synrgetic.com/switch).

# Managing clients

**Clients** is the heart of Coach mode — every client's training, nutrition, progress, bookings and packages in one profile.

## Adding clients

Two ways:

* **Send your invite link** — the easiest. Your client taps it, installs the app, and registering through the link connects them to you automatically. Existing Synrgetic users connect with the same link.
* **Create the client yourself** — add a client account directly and hand them the login; useful for in-person clients you're onboarding on the spot.

## The client profile

Open a client to see and manage everything about them: their workouts and training plans, food diary and nutrition targets, measurements and progress photos, bookings, packages and payment history, plus your private **notes** on them.

## Keeping your roster tidy

* **Hide** clients you're not actively coaching — they stop counting against your plan's client slots and move to **Hidden clients**, where you can **restore** them later with all their history intact. Nothing is deleted.
* **Search** your client list as it grows.

## Sharing clients

You can **share a client** with another coach — useful for team coaching, holiday cover, or gyms where multiple trainers work with the same person. See also [Gym management](/gyms/gym-management) for team setups.

# Exercise guides

**Exercise guides** are Synrgetic's biggest time-saver: write your coaching for an exercise **once** — and it attaches automatically everywhere that exercise appears, for every client, in every plan, forever.

## Creating a guide

1. Open **Exercise guides** in Coach mode and create a guide for an exercise.
2. Add your **written content** — cues, setup, progressions, common faults.
3. Add video: **record your own demo** or **share a YouTube video**.

## How guides reach clients

Whenever you program that exercise for any client, your guide is **shared automatically** with the workout. No copy-pasting instructions, no re-uploading the same demo video for the fifteenth time.

## Updating a guide

Edit a guide **at any time** — improvements apply everywhere the guide is used. Refilm a better demo once, and every client's plan gets it.

## The setup that pays for itself

Most coaches actively use fewer than 30 exercises. An afternoon spent building guides for your core movements means every future program is assembled from finished parts — this is where "program in minutes, not evenings" comes from.

# Client workouts

Plan, deliver and review your clients' training — in person, live online, or asynchronously.

## Building a client's workout

1. Open the client and create a workout on their calendar.
2. Add exercises — your [exercise guides](/coach-mode/exercise-guides) attach automatically.
3. Set the prescription: sets, reps, weight, and any **custom exercise fields** you've defined (tempo, RIR, band colour — whatever your coaching needs). Custom fields can be copied and shown across workouts.
4. Add instructions in text or video.

## Ways to coach it

* **In person / live** — run the workout in real time, logging as you train together.
* **Async online** — the client trains alone and logs; you review their numbers, notes and set videos, and reply with text or video feedback.
* Clients can add **notes and video to their exercises**, so form checks and "how did it feel?" happen right on the workout.

## Programming at scale

* **Copy workouts** between days and clients.
* **Edit workouts for multiple clients simultaneously** — change the shared session once instead of client by client. Perfect for group programming and small-group PT.
* **Change an exercise** in place (injury, equipment) without rebuilding the session.
* For multi-week structure, use [Programs](/coach-mode/programs).

## Reviewing progress

Each client's exercise history, progress charts and previous lifts are visible from their profile — the same views clients see, plus your coaching layer on top.

# Programs

**Programs** are your multi-week training templates — structured into blocks, built once, assigned to any client.

## Building a program

1. Open **Programs** in Coach mode and create a new program.
2. Structure it into **blocks** (for example: accumulation, intensification, deload).
3. Add workouts to each block, with exercises, set schemes and your guides attached.

## Assigning to clients

Assign a program to a client and its workouts flow onto their calendar. Adjust the individual client's copy freely — the template stays clean for the next client.

## Why templates beat rebuilding

If you coach more than a couple of clients, most of your programming is variations on your own proven structures. Programs + [exercise guides](/coach-mode/exercise-guides) mean a new client's first month takes minutes to set up — personalisation happens where it matters (loads, exercise swaps, volume), not in re-typing the same structure.

## Backups

Your programs are backed up with your account — they're business assets and are treated that way.

# Bookings & calendar

Run your schedule from Synrgetic — sessions, availability and calendar sync in one place.

## Booking sessions

1. Open a client (or your **Calendar**) and create a booking with a date, time and duration.
2. Your client is notified automatically — and again if you change or cancel the booking. Both sides get email confirmations.
3. Bookings drawn from a [package](/coach-mode/packages) count down the client's remaining sessions automatically.

## Your coach calendar

The **Calendar** view shows your whole coaching week across all clients. Clients see their own bookings in their app too — fewer "what time are we on?" messages.

## Calendar sync

Sync your Synrgetic schedule to your phone's calendar (iOS and Android), so coaching sessions sit alongside the rest of your life and your other commitments are visible when you're booking.

## Exporting bookings

Need your bookings outside the app — for records or accounting? Monthly bookings can be **exported** from [Business analytics](/coach-mode/business-analytics).

# Packages

**Packages** are how you sell your coaching — session blocks, monthly plans, or anything else you offer, with sessions and payments tracked automatically.

## Creating packages

1. Open **Packages** in Coach mode.
2. Define what you sell: name, number of sessions, price. Create as many package types as you offer.
3. Packages can also be **recurring** — for ongoing monthly coaching that renews rather than expires.

## Assigning a package to a client

Give a client a package from their profile. From then on:

* Their **bookings draw down the package** — remaining sessions are always visible to both of you.
* The **package's payment status** is tracked against it.
* Full **package and booking history** lives on the client's profile.

## Package details on the client

Each client's profile shows their current package at a glance — sessions left, payment state, and history — so renewal conversations happen before the package runs out, not after.

## Getting paid for packages

See [Getting paid](/coach-mode/getting-paid) for payment tracking, payment requests and refunds.

# Getting paid

Synrgetic tracks the money side of your coaching so your packages, sessions and payments always agree.

## Payment tracking

However your clients pay you — bank transfer, cash, card machine — record the payment against their package and Synrgetic keeps the ledger: what's been paid, what's outstanding, and the full history per client. Both you and your client get email confirmations when payments are recorded.

## Payment requests

Send a client a **payment request** for their package — they're notified, and the payment is tracked against the package once made.

## Refunds

Record **refunds** (full or partial) against a client's package — the package history and your analytics stay accurate, and confirmations go to both sides.

## Where the numbers end up

Every payment and refund feeds [Business analytics](/coach-mode/business-analytics) — earnings by month, growth trends, and exportable records.

# Online Coaching hub

{% hint style="info" %}
**Coming soon** — the Online Coaching hub is in development and not yet generally available. This page previews what's on the way.
{% endhint %}

The **Online Coaching** hub is your structured coaching workspace — check-ins, training, nutrition, progress and performance for each coaching client, organised across the weeks of their program. It replaces the spreadsheet most online coaches run their business from.

## Setting up a client's program

1. Open **Online Coaching** in Coach mode and select the client.
2. Set their program's **start date and length in weeks**.
3. Use **Online Coaching Customisation** to choose which sections the client sees — every client's program can be shaped differently.

## The tabs

* **Check-in** — daily and weekly check-ins: body weight (synced with their tracking data), 1–5 ratings for the areas you choose (sleep, energy, stress, adherence…), and weekly review answers. Organised week by week across the program.
* **Training** — the client's training for the program.
* **Meal plan** — their nutrition plan, when you manage it.
* **Progress** — progress photos and measurements over the program.
* **Performance** — how their numbers are trending.
* **Calendar** — the program schedule.
* **Client profile** — the client's details in context.

## Running your check-in day

Open a client's Check-in tab and their week is laid out for review — dailies, the weekly reflection, and weight trend together. Respond via [Messages](/friends-and-messaging/messages) or adjust their plan directly; on desktop the [web version](/getting-started/web-version) shows the week list and content side by side, which makes batch check-in days dramatically faster.

## Why it matters

Structured check-ins are the difference between online coaching and "sending workouts." The hub gives your clients a rhythm to report into, and gives you every signal — training, weight, ratings, photos — in one screen per client.

# Meal plans for clients

Nutrition coaching is included on every Synrgetic plan — build meal plans and set targets without any add-on.

## Building a client's meal plan

1. From the client (or the **Meal plans** section), create a plan.
2. Add meals and foods using the same tools as personal meal planning — database search, barcode scanning, favourites — or **generate** a draft plan and refine it.
3. The plan totals calories and macros as you build, so you can match it to the client's targets.

## Setting nutrition targets

Set a client's daily calorie and macro targets — including **different targets for different days** (training vs rest days) on a schedule. Their food diary measures against the right target automatically.

## Sharing plans

Share a meal plan with your client — it appears in their app, and plans can also be shared via a **link** that's viewable without logging in (handy for prospects or clients' partners doing the cooking).

## Reviewing their nutrition

A connected client's **food diary** is visible to you, so feedback is based on what they actually ate — no screenshots required. (Soon, nutrition will also sit alongside check-ins in the [Online Coaching hub](/coach-mode/online-coaching-hub).)

# Business analytics

**Analytics** shows you the business behind the coaching — earnings, bookings and growth, so decisions come from numbers rather than vibes.

## What you can see

* **Earnings** — what you've made, month by month, with monthly growth trends.
* **Bookings** — session volume over time.
* **Breakdowns** — inspect where revenue and sessions come from, across a **date range you choose**.

## Monthly view

The month view gives you the story of your business at its natural rhythm: how this month compares to last, which clients or packages drive it, and where the gaps are.

## Exporting your data

Your business data is exportable — earnings records and **monthly bookings exports** for accounting, tax time, or your own spreadsheets.

## Summary emails

Synrgetic can also send you **monthly summary emails** of your coaching business, so the headline numbers arrive without opening the app.

# Gym management

Run a gym or a coaching team? A **Gym** in Synrgetic puts all your trainers and their clients under one account and one subscription.

## Creating a gym

1. From Coach mode, open **Gym management** and create your gym.
2. **Invite trainers** — they receive an invite link that connects their coach account to your gym.
3. Each trainer manages their own clients within the gym's limits.

## Gym plans

Gym subscriptions are priced by team size — from **$49.99/month** (5 trainers with 20 clients each) up to larger tiers for bigger teams (see [synrgetic.com](https://synrgetic.com) for current tiers). One subscription covers the whole team — trainers don't need their own paid plans.

## Working as a team

* Trainers get the full coach toolset — clients, exercise guides, programs, bookings, packages and analytics.
* **Sharing clients** between coaches supports cover, handovers and team coaching. See [Managing clients](/coach-mode/managing-clients).

## Why gyms use it

The alternative is every trainer paying for their own software (or worse, each using a different app). A gym account standardises the client experience across your floor, at a price that doesn't multiply per trainer.

# Subscriptions & billing

## What's free

Everything on the personal side — workouts, food tracking, progress photos, measurements, charts, friends and messaging — is **free with no ads**. Coaching your **first client** is also free, forever.

## Coach subscriptions

| Plan | Clients | Price (USD/month) |
| -------- | ------- | ----------------- |
| Free | 1 | $0 |
| Starter | 5 | $8.99 |
| Standard | 10 | $14.99 |
| Premium | 20 | $24.99 |
| Studio | 50 | $39.99 |

Every plan includes **every feature**. All paid plans start with a **one-month free trial** for new subscribers. Gym plans for teams start at $49.99/month — see [Gym management](/gyms/gym-management).

## How billing works

Subscriptions are **monthly** and processed by the **App Store** (iOS) or **Google Play** (Android), depending on your device — so your payment details stay with Apple or Google, not with us.

## Upgrading, downgrading, cancelling

Manage your subscription from **Purchases** in the app. You can cancel at any time; you keep your plan's features until the end of the paid billing month. Hidden clients don't count toward your client limit — see [Managing clients](/coach-mode/managing-clients).

## Refunds

Because billing runs through the app stores, refunds follow Apple's and Google's processes — see our [refund policy](https://synrgetic.com/refund-policy).

# Notifications

Synrgetic notifies you about the things that need you — and stays quiet otherwise.

## What you'll be notified about

* **Bookings** — new sessions, changes and cancellations (clients and coaches).
* **Messages** — new chat messages.
* **Friend requests** and coaching connections.
* **Payments** — requests, confirmations and refunds (with email confirmations too).

## Managing notifications

* In-app: the **Notifications** section shows your history; **Settings** controls what you receive.
* On your phone: iOS and Android notification settings for Synrgetic control delivery at the system level.

## Summary emails

Optional **monthly summary emails** recap your activity — and for coaches, your business numbers. Manage email preferences in Settings.

# Your data & privacy

Your data is yours. Here's how to take it with you — or take it away entirely.

## Exporting your data

Your tracking data (workouts, measurements, food) can be **exported** from the app, and coaches can export business data (earnings, monthly bookings) from [Business analytics](/coach-mode/business-analytics).

## Who sees what

* Your personal data is private by default.
* Connecting to a **coach** shares your training, nutrition, tracking and check-ins with them — that's what coaching runs on. Ending the connection ends the sharing.
* **Friends** see only what you actively share with them (like shared workouts).

## Health data

Health platform syncing (Apple Health / Health Connect) is read with your permission only, and you can revoke access any time in your phone's settings.

## Deleting your account

You can request account deletion from the app's settings or at [synrgetic.com/delete-account](https://synrgetic.com/delete-account). Deletion is permanent — export anything you want to keep first.

# FAQ

## Pricing & plans

**Is Synrgetic really free?** For personal use, yes — completely, with no ads. Coaching your first client is also free forever. Paid plans only exist to unlock more client slots, and every plan includes every feature.

**What's the catch at $8.99/month?** No catch — no overhead. Synrgetic is built and run by its founder, billing goes through the app stores, and there are no feature gates or paid add-ons.

**Do my clients pay anything?** No. The client side is free, always.

**How do I cancel?** In the app, any time, via **Purchases** — you keep access until the end of the billing month.

## Coaching

**Can I try coaching without paying?** Yes — your first client slot is free forever, and every paid plan starts with a one-month free trial.

**I coach in person, not online. Is it still for me?** Yes — real-time workout logging, bookings, packages and payment tracking are built for in-person coaching; the online tools are there when you want them.

**Can I switch from TrueCoach, Trainerize or another platform?** Yes — there's a free step-by-step switching guide (including data-export instructions for each platform) at [synrgetic.com/switch](https://synrgetic.com/switch), and the founder personally helps early coaches migrate.

**What happens if I go over my client limit?** Upgrade to the next tier in **Purchases** — or hide clients you're no longer coaching; hidden clients don't count against your limit and can be restored any time.

## Data & devices

**Which devices are supported?** iPhone, iPad and Android phones/tablets, plus a web version in your browser.

**Can I get my data out?** Yes — see [Your data & privacy](/account-and-settings/data-and-privacy).

## Before you write

If something looks broken, it's worth a quick check that you're on the latest version of the app (App Store / Google Play) — most issues are fixed faster than the stores update automatically.
